Voice-to-Tweet service launched by Google to help people in Egypt.
Google, Twitter, and SayNow (recently purchased by Google) worked hard this weekend to create a service where voicemails translate into Tweets. By calling and leaving a voicemail on one of three international phone numbers: +16504194196 or +390662207294 or +97316199855, Google and Twitter made tweeting easier for people in Egypt without any Internet connection.
Facebook is about to launch a Third-Party Commenting Platform.
Since Monday afternoon, people close to the matter have reported that Facebook is in talks to create a third-party commenting platform. This move comes to compete against Disqus and other third-party services and will include such features as:
- Users can access the commenting platform by logging in through Twitter & Facebook
- Comments are threaded, and can be “Liked.”
- A Facebook page and a publisher’s site will become one/synced. A comment made on either the site or the Facebook page will appear on the other and vice-versa.
